Spirit Airlines Boarding Zones

Spirit Airlines uses a simple boarding zone system divided into four groups—Zone 1 to Zone 4—to help passengers board in an organized way. Zone 1 boards first and includes travelers who purchased Shortcut Boarding or booked a Big Front Seat for extra space and early access to overhead bin space. Zone 2 is for passengers who selected their seats in advance or checked in early, while Zone 3 is for general boarding and includes most travelers. Zone 4 is the last group to board, usually for those who didn’t choose a seat or checked in later. There’s also pre-boarding available for passengers with disabilities, families with small children, or anyone needing extra time. Your boarding zone is listed on your Spirit Airlines boarding pass, and gate agents call each group one by one, so it’s best to wait for your zone to be announced before lining up.
